What are some good discussion questions to ask in a teen bible study?

What exactly are the 'works' which do not save?

What did Paul say about works?

What does save? How do you get it?

What are some good discussion questions to ask in a teen bible study?
"Are Christians really just non practicing atheists?"
Reply:Never read Ecclesiastics.
Reply:What are your views on pre-maritial sex?

What do you think about having a serious boyfriend or girlfriend at your age?

What do you think God thinks about smoking or drinking?

What are some ways you can help out your school or community?

How can you reach non-Chrisitans around you?
Reply:1)why did god tell adam and eve they could eat from any tree except the one of knowledge, but then kick them out cause he didnt want them to eat from the tree of immortality?

2)what would have happened if Jesus decided not to teach everyone about how to worship god?

3)or better yet, why was it okay to kill so many innocent animals during the great flood?

4)or best of all, how do you know that hes the right god, or how he expects you to worship the right one when theres no proof that either exists and there are som many religions out there. basically what makes yours any different other than "cause we said so"
Reply:about why it is important not to be judgemental. about the fact that Jesus said not to worry about anything ever, and about loving your enemies and praying for those which despitefully use you. About why it's important to keep faith, even in the gravest times, and why it is important to ALWAYS do what God says and how Gods word overrules everyones, even their parents.
Reply:as them about sex

the type of movies they watch

the kind of music they listen to

find out why this stuff appeals to them

Ask them what they truly think about church and if

they think it's boring or not. If teens are allowed to speak

freely they will really tell the truth. And truly someone should

actually listen to them. That would be a very good thing.

If you scold them many will pretend to agree and go and do their own thing somewhere else. Faith Faces their reality.
Reply:Many teens are under the impression that oral sex is not a sin because the female is not penetrated and is thus still a "virgin." They also have the false impression that it is safe. Also, some parents who have given up the fight to keep their teens from sexual activity have resorted to allowing them to have sex at home only presuming this somehow protects the child from harm. However, the teen their child is having sex with may be involved with many partners and thus can still spread disease to their child (being in the home can not prevent against the spread of STDs); and, teens are loathe to using condoms. Parents who result to this type of measure and illusion of control are deluding themselves. All of these are issues you can address to your teen ministry. Hope this helps you. God bless. Peace. I'm out!
Reply:Oooh! I have one!

"Why does God refuse to stop Satan even though Satan causes so many of his children to suffer horribly?"
Reply:Marriage... sex... drugs... at least you will keep their attention on things they are more curious about right now. Don't make it too naive, though. Teens are smarter than we assume. They might end up thinking they heard a lot of BS, if it is something very far from reality.

Good luck!
Reply:Why would an all powerful, all knowing, omnipresent being care who you want to sleep with?
Reply:Ten obvious questions:

-Why won't God heal amputees?

-Why are there so many starving people in our world?

-Why does God demand the death of so many innocent people in the Bible?

-Why does the Bible contain so much anti-scientific nonsense?

-Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the Bible?

-Why do bad things happen to good people? That makes no sense.

-Why didn't any of Jesus' miracles in the Bible leave behind any evidence? It's very strange, isn't it?

-How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you? Jesus is all-powerful and timeless, but if you pray for Jesus to appear, nothing happens.

-Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood? It sounds totally grotesque, doesn't it? Why would an all-powerful God want you to do something that, in any other context, sounds like a disgusting, cannibalistic, satanic ritual?

– Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-Christians?
