Catholics: suggestions for a Bible study guide?

i have bought the New Jerusalem Bible for quite a while now and thought i could read it and understand it on my own...but well lol i cant...what bible study guide do you suggest?

Keep reading your New Jerusalem Bible. There will always be some parts you do not understand, that's okay. Its the parts you do understand that will matter the most.

Reply:I think, actually, the best study helper there is for Catholics is the Magnificat. It is just a fabulous series of meditations on the daily readings of the Mass.

Reply:There is a book called the missionary pal. Its writeen by Keith Martson. Check it out.
Reply:In addition to the suggestions above, I suggest you join a Bible study at your parish. Much can be learned through interaction with others.

Reply:I use The Catholic Study Bible, the New American Bible translation. It's pretty big but it has some good notes as well as a reading guide.
