Bible study????

How do you study the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation or random? What is your favorite vesre or book in the Bible?

Bible study????
Personally, I prefer to pick a subject or a person and study them, rather than just reading from front to back, know what I mean?

You can start in order if you like, study Adam and Eve, then Noah, then Moses, etc., studying the "greats" as I call them lol, or read them as it interests you or where you have a need.

Solomon was a super cool guy, and the richest man that has ever lived, ever. Start with him, you might get some money management tips!

My personal favorite? That'd be Proverbs 31 starting about the middle of it there's an absolutely wonderful tribute to the Woman of Noble Character. It's how I always try to live, with that in mind. Read it and you'll find out exactly how much power women really had back then too.
Reply:start with the background %26amp; introduction of each book of the Bible. Use the resources in www.crosswalk.com or many free Bible study online tools. email me: pcjoy2@yahoo.com : with subject: bible study help %26amp; I will send you the links. Report Abuse

Reply:I have a well used and water damaged Bible that i somtimes let God open for me,and then i read the whole page.

I also try(latly) to read a chapter of Proverbs every day,i read the chapter of proverbs that coresponds with the day of the month,ie;14th chapter today.

I also like Mattew and Acts.
Reply:Revelation is allegoric mystery, written as if the final exam of the Bible, with the other 65 books being aptly canonized as if pre-requisite to get it: understanding the allegoric mystery thereof. So, if you want to understand Revelation, you'd start at Genesis.

Wayne Dyer, the public speaker oft used to promote donations on Public Television, says it like this in his Power of Intention series: want for all others what you want for yourself, and think from the end. In the case of the Bible the end is already written, in such a shew, shewdown thereof, between Law vs Grace:

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
Reply:Sometimes, God places it on my heart to study a particular book or passage. I study using a concordance and a bible dictionary. Sometimes I do a word study - for example I am going to do a study on wind and storms in the biblical perspective for my daughter (she is facinated by weather)

Also - I do bible study through church.
Reply:Studying the Bible is a process of comparison from one book to another. I preferred to start at the beginning, with a general read through, then moved to a more in-depth study of each book.

Fav' would be Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 and 6.

Reply:I read them, reflect and meditate. My favorite book in the Bible is Sirach. I really love it that I spend time re-reading the whole book again. Lessons in life, reflections, quotes, you can got it all in Sirach....

Bible study is great even if you are alone, in a group or church. It's a nice time to be with God through that.
Reply:Proverbs and Mathew are my favorite books.
Reply:People make the mistake of thinking the Bible is a book to be read. It's not. The Bible is a library in itself. Many books, written by many authors, over a period of many years.I've found the best way to study is to pick a book and read it at random. As for my favorite, that would be the four Gospels.Mathew,Mark,Luke, and John.
Reply:I study the Bible, by what interest me.

My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11-13

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Reply:You study at your own pace, but starting from the beginning is helpful. My favorite book actually is Revelations because it explaining how God will return and take back what is his our spirits, souls minds and body to start a better world again.

Hopefully, he'll chose me and you!
Reply:My favorite book is Genesis. For the best translation, try Robert Alter's, and after that Richard Friedman's. They will open your mind and spirit considerably!
Reply:Psalms and Proverbs are great. Also you can get a study guide to help walk you through each book.

God Bless You....

My favorite book is Ruth!
