Bible study?

I wanted to ask if someone could recommend some reading material so I can learn the fundamentals of Christianity. I'm looking for something that's thorough and not general. I mainly want to get the fundamentals down. I don't want to tell people wrong info. For the longest I thought that your conscience was the same as the Holy Spirit but I learned otherwise rescently. I feel like I need to re learn everything I've been tought because theres so many false teachers out there. I know some scripture but I want to be able to break down the basics for myself and others. I guess I'm looking for a witnessing book but it doesn't necessarilly have to be that. I'm not interested in any charismaniac false teaching stuff like on this site... http://www.atruechurch.info/falseteacher... or Joyce Meyers ect. I'm looking for some straight up honest King James teachings. Thanks

Bible study?
Here is a website that teaches the meaning of every verse of every Book in the Bible: http://www.soniclight.com/constable/note...

Great studies, and you can study every verse of the Bible this way.
Reply:Don't look to any denomination!

The Bible speaks for itself. The Bible interprets itself. Read it FIRST, all the way through a couple of times. Long? Yes. But do you want to enter a play at the beginning of the third act?

Learn a little of the original languages (at least the alphabets) so that you can look up the meanings of the words in dictionaries and concordances. For the best interpretation of the Hebrew, use the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament. For Greek, the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament.
Reply:Contact Jehovah's Witnesses and ask for the publication "What Does the Bible Really Teach?"

Although most quotes are not from the KJV, you can easily see by comparison that the KJV teaches the same things.

It is an excellent resource with Appendix, and points you straight to your bible for every point taught.

You can get it at no charge, and no obligation, but they will be happy to help you in your personal study, again at no charge or obligation.
Reply:Jehovah's Witnesses publish a book entitled "What Does the Bible Really Teach", and make it available at no charge. The audio of the publication can be downloaded immediately from their official download site:

In addition, Jehovah's Witnesses conduct millions of free home Bible study courses, and can likely schedule one convenient to the questioner.. ..

Reply:Are you reading the New Testament? I'd say Luther's Small Catechism but I'm Lutheran.
Reply:Try the Atheist Debater's Handbook (by B.C. Johnson). When you've finished you'll realise that religion is not the best way to go.
Reply:I don't know if this would help or not but "The Bare Bones Bible Handbook" by Jim George is quite good.
