Can you recommend a good Bible study for (newly) married couples?

My husband and I are newlyweds and are wanting to start a Bible study together. Do you know of a good one?

Can you recommend a good Bible study for (newly) married couples?
"Quiet Times for Couples" by H. Norman Wright is amazing. Scripturally based - with a Bible quote each day.

We got it for a wedding gift and read it each night for a year ( it is a one year daily devotional - one page or less per day ) and it is impossible to state how helpful and meaningful it was. It drew us even closer.

He hits the important stuff, and things you don't even realize in a very understandable, clear and gentle way.

But your number one devotional - pray together, regularly. It gives you God's perspective and care.

A statistic: The divorce rate is 50%, for couples that worship (go to church) together it is 10%, for couples that pray together it is 2%.

God Bless.
Reply:You will never find a "good" bible study group unless you step over the line into other religious studies and atheism. What you will get is only bible regurgitation. I have never been to a "bible study group" that actually studied the bible. They only repeated what they had been told to repeat in those circumstances.
Reply:Check out this web site and publication:

Reply:Congratulations! First you guys may need to decide on what version to read together, next visit "borders" bookstore or any other bookstore and check out the religion section. You might want to look on books that talk about family devotionals.

Hope this helps
Reply:Start with Ephesians 5... and a good study Bible. either KJV or New American standard(updated) in the Ryrie format....also,

here is a link for commentaries and other study stuff,

edit note: in case you have not learned yet...avoid the Jehova's Witness and the mormon temptations.... stick with God's words not the decptions of evil.

Reply:Jehovah's Witnesses will be happy to help you study the Bible in general to see what it really teaches.

The also have a family specific book based upon the Bible called "The Secret of Family Happiness" that you can obtain from them at no charge.
Reply:You could start with "Marriage".

Ecclesiastes 9:9 Proverbs 5:15, Proverbs 5:18-20, 1Corinthians 7:3, Ephesians 5:22,23; Ephesians 5:25-33; 1 Timothy 5:8; Colossians 3:18,19; 1Peter 3:7; Titus 2:4,5. Once you are confident you have Marriage down pat try the next study on "Lust" If you need scriptures for that I can provide them. Marriages fail because of Lust.
Reply:Congradulations!

You can just start reading the Bible together itself and discuss what it means to you. If you follow some study you will end up with what it means to others. God bless you.
Reply:Lots of good stuff in the bible. For starters 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. Ephesians 5:25 and 33. Also Proverbs has a lot of good advice.

Reply:Song of Soloman should do it!
Reply:well it depends on where you live, so i can't help you. Try asking some friends, or talking to some local churches.Congratulations though.
Reply:Jehovah's Witnesses do personal home Bible studies at your time and when you want and the cost is free - no money is ever taken. I know I did it myself and still continue doing so very happily. I have never looked back.
Reply:Be sure to study all the parts of the Bible that make it clear that the man is the head of the family and the woman is intended to submit to his will. That's apparently the "Christian way."
