How is Sarah (Sarai) introduced in the Jewish Study Bible?

I don't see where exactly she is introduced or how the character is used. I see that she has a lack of faith in becoming pregnant which has some importance. But is how she is introduced in the bible have a significant importance?

How is Sarah (Sarai) introduced in the Jewish Study Bible?
Genesis 12:5 "So Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot the son of his brothers and all the good that they had accumulated and the souls whom they acquired in Haran and they got on their way out to go to the land of Canaan. finally they came to the land of Canaan."

This is the frist mention of Sarai (Sarah)
Reply:that's a very broad question. some things to understand include that in judaism, she is considered as great a prophet as abraham -- she helped spread monotheism as he did and was an incredibly strong woman and leader. she is taught as a woman of great faith -- the reaction to the prophecy regarding isaac is put into a larger context; it is not what it seems.
