Bible Study?

I am looking to attend a bible study where I can learn and explore. I claim myself to be non-denominational, and have not committed myself to one religion nor am I looking to do this, at this time. I just want to learn what the bible says, where it says it, etc.

If you know of a good place to LEARN (not be [lack of a better term] hounded to be apart of that religion] about the bible in the city of Orange, CA (or surrounding cities)-- I would love to know about them!

Thank you!

Bible Study?
Check out BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). They are a non-denominational group that organizes Bible study groups throughout the world with locations in most all major US cities.

Their web site is:

Reply:I recommend buying one, start "In the beginning", and read it through to "Amen"

Bible study is a way that some fundamentalist sects use to steer you to the parts of the bible that will sway you to their agenda. If you read it all and try to reason it out for yourself, you will likely reject fundamentalism, as I have.
Reply:Bible study is done with you and the Holy Spirit, when you have proved by doing, that you believe in the word of God, the Spirit of Truth will open your eyes to more truth.

Start with the Gospel according to John, find out who you are, where you came from, and who John is, when you believe in your heart this is truth, more will be revealed.
Reply:Please my friend in Orange County. Try to not look at the religion but how the Word is spoken and taught. I like the way Fountain Valley Baptist does their teachings. That is located at 14064 Slater Ave. Fountain Valley, Ca.

.

.Also, my sister gave me a piece of advice and it's always worked for me where ever I go and that is look for the Dove. Also check out the vision and mission of that church.
Reply:Jehovah's Witnesses offer you a FREE home Bible study where you will use your own Bible to learn exactly what the Bible says on matters.

At the end, the aim is to give you an understanding of the basic truths of the Bible and you will have the ability to prove it to anyone.

We offer to invite you to come to our meetings but this is entirely up to you. You could not become one of Jehovah's Witnesses at that point anyway. You do not know enough.

As I said, in harmony with Matthew 10:8 where Jesus said, "You received free, give free." respecting all parts of our ministry. There is no charge.

Part of the reason we are feared by clergies is that we know what the Bible actually says. Teaching it for free only adds to it. The laity is told to stay away. A major reason is fear for their wallets. What would be the reaction of some when they found out they had been lied to for years? Not very pleasant for them.

Contact any congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses or Kingdom Hall in your phone book.

Reply:Why don't you do on line or by correspondence? If you are looking for school or College, you might have to pay quite a bit.
Reply:Your local library would be a good start, it's probably got an online catalog. I'd suggest getting books about the history, background, etc., of the four gospels and go from there.
Reply:Why not first get yourself a good study Bible?

I like The Reformation Study Bible.
Reply:Stay away from the Cult of the Jehovas Witness!
Reply:Why not commit yourself to Christianity right now?

How do you know you won't die tomorrow?

Why would you want to risk an ETERNITY in the Lake of Fire just to enjoy a LIFE on Earth.

Eternity= forever and ever

Life= Around 75 years?

And even so, why would you not want to give praise to the Lord Jesus for giving his life for YOUR sins, you wouldn't even have life if it weren't for him.

Not to offend you, it's just the Truth. Any local church around you should have Bible Study classes.

As to Jehovah Witness's. The Watchtower(JW) has changed the words of the Bible many times during it's history . The Bible warns of False prophets . The prophecy of Jehovah Witness believed that only the 144000 JW would go to Heaven. Over their course of History the amount of JW has surpassed the number 144000. Making it a false prophecy. They have now altered the interpretation of this prophecy to make it seem like they have not lied.

Jehovah Witness's (JW) understand the Bible through the interpretation of the Watchtower ( Watchtower's form of the Bible ) not their own individual interpretation. You may even read jehovah Witness's own Bible this verse:

1 John 2: 26, 27 : " I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need ANYONE to teach you."

Read it for yourself, in the JW Bible or any other Bible.
