Why is strenuous bible study futile?

"Extensive bible study is like attemping to squeeze the blood from a rock. The only blood that will come is the blood from your own hands."--- Biblical Scholar.

Why is strenuous bible study futile?
I would say that believers ought to be living the life and being a good friend and citizen instead of mere study. There is a qualitative difference between being and thinking about being. Investing large amounts of time arguing over trivialities, making mountains out of molehills, that mean different things to different people is futile. By comparison, the kind of person one ought to be is unambiguously clear.
Reply:And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books [there is] no end; and much study [is] a weariness of the flesh. (Solomon: Ecclesiastes 12:12)

The Bible is all allegory in both covenants: Galatians 4

So then, taking it literally or historically is as futile folly.

It will only run you in circles, unto created + destroyed,

rather than being made perfect the third day = saved.

Created/Made: Before/After God shew about Law/Grace

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
Reply:As long as you also look into the historical origins of the creation of the bible it seems fine to me. But to understand a book you have to know where it came from and who actually wrote it.
