Looking for a good study bible, NRSV translation?

I currently have a Life Application study bible in the NLT translation. However, my pastor has recommended that I get a study bible in the NRSV translation. In his opinion, the NLT is wonderful for readability but, for study, the NRSV is the best. I have been looking and can't seem to find a Life Application study bible in that translation. Do they make one in NRSV? Does anyone have a study bible similar to the Life Application study bible in the NRSV translation that they like? Thanks!

Our Pastor uses the NRSV bible and all our pew bibles are that version. I too have the Life Application study bible and I love it. I also use the Holman study bible. It is very interesting and provides a great deal of history in it also. I think that which ever bible you are most comfortable with is the best one. There is also a book that I have called "the Idiot's guide to the Bible" sounds like an insult doesn't it? It is a great study tool. Look for it in a bible store like Lifeway Christian stores. God bless.

Also, the site that sunpekes gave you is a Jehovah Witness site. If you are a new Christian don't go there. Their Bible is not a Christian bible. If you have questions about anyone offering you info on watchtower ask your pastor about it, he will help you to discern that information.
Reply:What ever bible you chose find out the Origin of that bible. The King James Bible is the only bible all others have been translated by preachers that added there own beliefes and words. Do the research.
Reply:I bought a KJV at WalMart but it is a study Bible with notes. It's very comprehensive. I really recommend it!
Reply:Our top scholars use this one, try it on line and if you like it we will bring you a copy free
Reply:Are you sure your pastor said 'NRSV' and not NASB or NIV, or NKJV. I do not know of a good study Bible in NRSV. No offense intended, but I did not think that people who used the NSRV actually studied it.

What denomination?
Reply:I like using the NIV version, because I use the study notes. I'm not sure about the Like Application part, but the NIV seems to work for me. I think that you need a Bible that works for you, and it depends on what you want to learn for it. Search the Christian book stores, and pick one that fits your spirtiual lifestyle.
