Good teen Bible study??

OK. I am looking for a good Bible study for teens. Both for just girls or co-ed. I don't want anything too serious, because most people I know that would do a study wouldn't like anything too in depth. I also don't want anything on dating or "true love waits."

Also, I am interested in starting a Bible study for teens at my Catholic chruch, (but I don't care if the study is catholic or christian.) Any advise for starting it and leading it? Or how to make it fun, learn a little about God, but not go insane about praying so that way people will do it?

Also, I would like the study to have DVD's. Please give some suggestions.

Good teen Bible study??
no such thing as a good bible study for teens. was the hitler youth a good idea?
Reply:1 Corinthians...try this site.http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/c...
Reply:One of the best thing to study with teens is the proper use of condoms dear.

Explain how to put them on and why it's paramount to use them all the time and every time.

You will be saving lives if you do that and also prevent unwanted teen pregnancies. It's worth it.
Reply:Not exactly what you asked for but you may find the link below very interesting. And proof that the bible is very relevant for today.
Reply:You won't get a good answer to a general question like that here. Just a lot of hostility. This is a known atheist hangout. Which I think it ironic: Atheist love the religion and spirituality answer even though they say they think it's rubbish. I don't get it. If you don't believe, then get up and go watch The Office or something.
Reply:Here's a good website to start with...

Bless you for making a positive difference! Keep up the Good Work!!!
Reply:Blue Letter Bible is brilliant, look at their website. You can read any version you want. Just type in a phrase you want to find or a chapter and verse and up it comes. You can also read various commentaries on there.

I agree with another contributor above that atheists love this section of Yahoo answers. It just goes to show that they are not as confident in the non-beliefs as they would like others to think. We are accused of pushing our religion on others but atheism is also a religion (a belief system) and there's plenty of pushing going on here.
Reply:its all about the free food, when i was christians thats why all the teens went to bible study
Reply:You can begin with studying about Jesus. Read through the Gospels, Matthew Mark Luke and John, with an emphasis on what the Lord's message, and mission, truly was.

Then move on to Hebrews, Galatians, and 1%26amp;2 Peter, with an emphasis on how the transformation of the Holy Spirit changes what the heart's desire is, making one WANT to follow what He has said for us to do.

From there go into the old testament a bit, to research how the history of the children of Israel and their behavior relates to modern-day humanity and the old, sinful 'self, with an emphasis on how the Law couldn't keep them from sin and us telling ourselves we 'won't' can't keep us from it. Human will is not enough, for the stain is still there until washed away by the Blood of Jesus upon giving over control to Him.

Go through Genesis and Exodus for backround. Discuss Proverbs and Ecclesastes for life lessons. Isiah for insight on hard-headedness and hard-heartedness. Talk a little about faith with Job. Search through Ezekiel for coming back and getting it right.

Then go back to the New. Read through Romans and the Corinthian letters, Acts and James and the letters to Timothy. for inspiration on standing strong, staying faithful, and Christian living. the Holy Spirit will lead if you follow.

As to activities, try competitions based on Bible knowledge, And try to make a day out of your meeting month that is set aside for the group to come up with their own ideas for activities and fund-raisers that can be done together. Go on a shopping trip to decorate your meeting space. Start a visiting mission. There are many, many things a group of young people can do when backed by the Holy Spirit.

Stay encouraged, and for more ideas you can email me. Youth Ministry is where my focus is in my church and community .

Good luck, and God Bless you for even wanting to try.
Reply:Deut. 31:12 makes the point of gathering all the family- old and young alike to hear God's word. There was no moving the young away from the adults as if something from God's word was for " Adults Only".. the same is true about the Bible. One book for all. Nothing Junior about it.
Reply:I don't think you should give a Bible study for teens or anyone else.
