Are theologians present at every one? Because that's what we would need there to answer our complex hundreds of questions about the inaccuracies, contradictions and problems with the bible....
What would a bible study do for we agnostics/atheists?
it would just bore us.
Reply:It would be a waist of there time, and a distraction to the group
Reply:A BIBLE STUDY WOULDNT DO ANYTHING FOR ATHEISTS NOR AGNOSTICS..... AND THEOLOGIANS HAVE HAD MORE PEDOPHILE CHARGES THAN THE ORDINARY CLUBS...
Reply:It's important to know what kind of insane fairy tales most americans are basing their lives on......You can't argue with them without knowing something about the subject yourself.
Reply:Agnostic doesn't mean she doesn't believe, it means she doesn't know. Study the Bible and see if you feel the spirit so many Christians claim to have.
Reply:Listen, if you don't believe in god, why waste your time with a bible study or even pondering whether he/she even exists.
Reply:You do not need a Bible to get yourself saved...if you have done so much reading as you claim in The Bible... then you are proof that The Bible do'nt do the save'n... If you do not come to God in The Way He proscribes then you do'nt get into Heaven... all the Bible read'n and Quote'n in the world never saved any one... Only God can do that.... THEN you start to read and study... you got the process back wards... any one of The True Christian Faith can tell you enough to give you the direction you must go to come to God... from there it is between you and God. One-on-one and personal... When you get saved get a hold of me and I will do a Bible study with you.
If you have honest questions about Salvation I will be glad to help...but as to all the great "theological" debtes....shove'em under the rug.... they mean nothing... There is no inerrant text of The Bible in existance today... so most all of your debateable issues will never be resolved in this mortal life... The only thing that needs to be resolved is whether or not you are going up or going down.... as they say
I accept honest email questions concerning the Christian Faith. Or you can check me out at;

All honest seekers welcome
Reply:It would teach you the reasons that people believe in its message. Don't go in expecting all the answers because believers just don't think about the Bible like you do. Go to gain perspective. The other students may not agree with you on the validity of the Scripture, but you still may learn a lot about human nature and leading a fulfilling life.
Reply:It may improve your English.
Reply:Other than learning about what other people believe, nothing. I think it would cause our brains to implode. It may be dangerous.
Reply:The bible is a great work of fiction. It's fun to read, like the Harry Potter books.
Reply:Only to learn historical "facts". That's all.
Reply:I guess just teach us about the Bible and religion maybe. I been reading it a bit not really sure which bits r fact and which bits r fiction. U could read it to learn about religion I guess.
Reply:There are so many studies of the bible already - and all try to explain, but let a lot open.
If at all, the bible can be taken as an analogy to a "way of living".
But people thinking for themselves do not need a religion, actually.
Reply:Well, if you came to the Bible study with an arrogant attitude and a predetermination not to believe, the only thing a Bible study would do is to increase the measure of your guilt when you came into the presence of God for judgment having never accepted the gracious gift of his dear Son on your behalf.
If you came with an open mind like an impartial juror and really wanted to search out the truth of the Scriptures and get reasonable answers to seeming contradictions and other things that are often hard to understand about the Bible you could walk away a new creation in Christ with the blessed assurance that when you shuffle off of this mortal coil you will be accepted in the beloved and experience fullness of joy and pleasures forever more in the presence of your loving Father.
Reply:What's that saying? "For those who doubt, no explaination will suffice; for those who believe, no explanation is necessary."
Also, the bible is being read and taught by generations of people who don't know what the hell they are reading or talking talking about. A lot of the meanings and nuances are lost on 21th century folks raised on television and Captain Crunch. We have no frame of reference for stories written 2000 years ago.
Reply:I would not want you in my bible study! Stay with the rest of the low lives, who have like ideas and leave us to ours!
Reply:hmmm, and i thought "inaccuracies, contradictions and problems with the bible.... ," were the primary reasons many discount the value that others place on the bible and it's study.
Reply:Really, why would you want to go, so can could try to "prove" people wrong. Get over it, let us who believe, live our lives as such and you can not believe if thats what you want.
Reply:Quite possibly ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
To do any kind of a Theological study, or Bible study one has to start with an open mind.
Reply:Um, what? I would say it would mostly bore us...and entertain a little with it's absurdities.
Reply:Faith comes by hearing %26amp; hearing a Word about Christ %26amp; / or God.
Reply:bible study would do nothing more than show what others believe and helpt to show where the hatred and prejudice towards us agnostics and athiests comes from
To niki-niki-tembo i would like to comment that that sort of you dont believe so you cant try to understand type of mentality is the same type that leads to jihads holy wars religious persecution and global prejudice. It is the responsibility of every person to have a basic understanding of the beliefs of others so that they are a more rounded person and are capable of understanding without judgement. You do not want to have agnostics and athiests in bible study because heaven forbid they become christian or such or that you actually start to believe against the bible. Finding the real truth is scary but worth doing. I would seriously consider learning about other beliefs so that way you do not add to the global prejudice that is killing innocent people all over the world.
Reply:not much
Reply:drive them crazy
Reply:why would you go to a bible study anyway? As a non-practicing catholic, I think the bibble is fiction anyway...
Reply:Religious people study the bible all the time to answer their hundreds of questions as well. I have been studying it like an insane person for over a year now because I want answers to my questions. I realize it will take more than my lifetime to figure it out. I am enjoying learning about history and culture, not just about God and Jesus.

Check it out, spread the word. We are trying to see what it's all about, and given that we have read the Bible, maybe we can change some preconcieved notions about Atheists/Agnostics.
Reply:Reinforce our beliefs that God does not exist. Essentially waste our d*** time.
Reply:Bible Study is a way of fellowship and gathering for people who faithfully follow Christianity. I don't know if that would serve you in any way. To discuss contradictions and inaccuracies in a Bible study would be very inappropriate and disrespectful. I'm sure there are plenty of forums where you can intellectually debate your views with Theologians. Check with Universities and different seminaries. If you are interested in doing some "undercover" work, then I hope you are a method actor, because if you show up at a Bible study; people will come up to you and think you are interested in becoming part of the faith. Good luck.
