How would I go about starting my own bible study group?

I need help with this. Should I send out brochures, take out an ad or post on church bulletin boards? How does a person start their own bible study group (excluding friends and family)? Any help would be appreciated.

Advertise in local paper and radio too.


Since I started my Yahoo Ministry, hundreds of Muslims , Pagans, and Catholics have repented their evil ways.
Reply:Hey, invite lots of ypung single people. Maybe some people could find spouses who will share a common faith.
Reply:Inform your pastor that you wish to start a bible study group consisting of whichever parameters you set. Ask him to mention it in his announcements and anyone that is interested to see you. Have him ask you to stand in case some at the church don't know you but might wish to join. Take out an add in the local paper announcing it as well if you want people outside the church to be involved. You can also go to your local Christian bookstore and they usually have a bulletin board that you can put up information on. If you want your group to be larger and even more diverse most public libraries have public bulletin boards as well. Good Luck.

Reply:SummersNight, no disrespect here, but you are a pagan am I correct? How would it be then that you would be holding your own BIBLE study group and for what purpose would you be studying? Understand that no matter what, GOD's word will NOT return void, so even when discussed by an unbeliever, it is still possible for GOD to move through HIS word.





My intent with my answer is not to judge you, but to understand why you are thinking about the BIBLE study home group. I have read other questions where you say that you dislike the theology of the BIBLE...are you deep down inside seeking? I speak life and pray that you are under the conviction of the HOLY GHOST, and that you come to know JESUS CHRIST personally. I will pray for you, not that my will shall be imposed in your life, not that you follow after anything that a mortal man tells you, but that you come to know the TRUTH of JESUS CHRIST.

Before the disciples left to preach to the whole world, Jesus told them to tarry in Jerusalem.





My humble opinion, pray and God by His Holy Spirit will give you guidance on how, who to approach and when to start. He may make it clear if that is the path He wants you to take.

Reply:If the Bible study is for adults only go to the Trailer Park and take a case with you and I'm sure you will have a Bible meeting.

Reply:Start by making new friends and tell them your intentions after a few days coz when dealing with spiritual stuff, you have to be part of them and then make your way up towards your goal.
Reply:Talk to your pastor about starting the group. then they can let congregation know of times etc. You could advertise in the paper. pray as well
