How can i start a teen Bible study group?
I wanted to let you know that I've prayed for you. I think the advice to talk with your pastor or youth pastor is great. I think I would start by finding a couple friends who are also Christians and might be interested in helping you. With them, visit a Christian bookstore (if there is one in your area...if not try your Church library or look online) and look for Bible study books for teens and decide together which one you would like to use. Then I would practice leading a study just with you and those friends (maybe each of you could lead one study). You'll get a feeling for how it feels to lead a Bible study, become familiar with the book you choose, and be able to work out how you want to do things before you start inviting others. Then I would invite people in your school. You can ask restaurants if you can put up posters there, or the library. You can put up posters or flyers at the places that high school students go to catch the bus.

One thing we did in a biblestudy that I really liked (as an adult...but I think it would work in a teen Biblestudy too) was that we each went around and shared how our week was (BRIEFLY). It helped me really get to know everyone there. Then we each went around and shared prayers and praises (sometimes this is helpful to do at the end--or to ask if one person to pray for each concern so that it doesn't go on so long you don't have time to actually study the Bible. But praying together is really important I think).
Reply:ok listen carefully. To start a Bible study group, you will need to know the bible. When you think your ready, you know you have read it couple of times and that your focus on the bible to be able to teach it with out it being open well then your more than a step ahead! I my self im only 18 but i notice when i droped out of school i read the bible like i never tought i would. But still i dont think i have autority from god to teach. Well to me its all on faith, and of course authority from above.I hope you will succed in this i wish you the best cause now days a lot of teens need it.So i will pray for you and dont be scare to teach. Remember that when the holly spirit is in you, he will be the one talking not you!!!
Reply:Same way you'd start any other kind of meeting group: secure a regular and quiet meeting place, establish a regular meeting time, and get the word out to people that would be interested. (That means putting up flyers in places like churches, schools and malls WITH PERMISSION. It does NOT mean sticking up flyers anywhere the hell you want, sneaking them into people's lockers, spamming people's email, etc.)

Chances are though there's already an existing one in your area. Look around before you try to reinvent the wheel.

Granted, I'd never want to join such a club. But that's my advice anyway.
Reply:First of all I want say that I am a youth pastor and praise the Lord you want to start one.

I would first off pray that God would send some your way.

Then I would get some topics that would spark interest to teens such as dating, anger, Gods call and so on.

Advertise around the school of the topics and be prayed up. Study hard before hand and be ready to give an answer for the questions. That will keep them coming back.

God bless and keep it up!
Reply:It would be good to start off with a youth pastor, and there are many many study guides in Christian bookstores to get you started. They can keep you on track, and they also help with scriptural reference. See if you can post a notice at the bookstore.
Reply:If you are serious about starting a Bible study group, stay away from the web sites. There are so many misleading web sites, it's like a mine field. Stick to your youth pastor and your local church for guidance and support.
Reply:ohhhh noooo, we humanists and possibly atheists are trying to help the teens too, so they start their life off being responsible for themselves and not reliant on a fictional character for acceptance...

I prefer to start my own religion....
Reply:just pray about it and if thats what God wants you to do then do it.He'll show you the answer.
Reply:i don't know of any websites, but share your idea with some churches and their youth groups. you have a great idea and i'm sure others will think so too!
Reply:I like studying fiction books too though not that one lol
Reply:ask a Jehovah witness when they come knocking
