How does my daugher start an a bible study at her school?

I have a 13 year old daugher, 8th grader. She wants to start a bible study at her school. How should she proceed? Any suggestions on material?

The easiest way is to avoid asking the Administration at all costs. Do it in the library, or another public place where they don't have to have permission. If you ask the principal, it puts them in a very delicate legal position...with the whole separation of church and state and all. As anyone in the education system will tell you...it's always easier to ask forgiveness later than permission now.

Go to the library and look in their computerized catalog. Type in the words "teen bible studies" in the search engine. It should direct you to a whole list of books.

You might also ask the youth pastor at your church for suggestions.

Good luck!
Reply:i know high schools have clubs such as bible study you can start; as far as junior high goes, i recommend having your daughter speak to one of her teachers that might be interested in supervising such a club, as clubs usually require a teacher supervisor, and then a few students who would basically run the club. If the teacher is interested, she will speak to the principal, who will probably give the go-ahead for the club to start. Talking to teacher before going to the principal is definately advised. Good luck to your daughter!
Reply:If it is a public school she shouldn't . There is a reason we have separation of church and state and freedom of religeon, thus no religeon in public school. This is something (if she can find kids to join) she should do at home. Or perhaps as a youth group through church.
Reply:Don't do it. She's too young to make up her own mind. If you let a bible study group fill her head with nonsense, she'll never be able to think for herself when she grows up. Seriously, this may be the worst decision you will have ever made on her behalf.
