Idea for being more consistent with bible study and prayer?

I have trouble making time for and doing my bible study and prayer every day. Whenever I make time to do it I have a much better day and feel more peace and overall enjoy life more, but I have trouble being consistent with it. What are some ideas you have that you may have used or heard someone else use to be more consistent with your bible study and prayer times? thanks

Idea for being more consistent with bible study and prayer?
Write down a list of questions to keep pondering. Make yourself curious about sections of the Bible you haven't read by thinking about people like Samson, David, Moses, Abraham, St. John the Baptist, Mary and others and what made God love them so.Use your curiousity and your desire to deepen your knowledge to pray for guidance.

It is wise to keep notes because many people have been surprised to see how the Spirit moves them in the Word, by making comparisons over time with their notes. This progress will encourage you also!
Reply:It's tough; not only with the pressures living life puts on us, but also from the distractions out there, that Satan loves to use, huh?

I keep my theocratic magazines all over the place; I have several Bible's, and one in the car is a great idea, as you always have to wait in traffic, right?

Also, I have one right beside my bed, and try to do a bit a night. Makes for better dreams, too!

I have set time aside 3 times a week to meet with friends at our Kingdom Hall, to incite one another to love and fine works, like bible reading...they all have great advice.

Also, I have scripture on line...with reference material..As someone once said, if you have 15 minutes to read the Bible, read for 5 , and research, pray, and meditate for 10. That way, it is alive, attainable, and easy to achieve.

We aren't all schedule followers; I have A.D.D., it's hard to be consistent...but, think about it as an investment..."buy out the opportune time' is easier to apply, when you think about what it's going to pay you back in dividend's!

On a last note, we publish a Daily Text that quotes a scripture, and follows it with a small paragraph of spiritual thought...it's easy to read as one wolf's down one's toast, and runs out the door!
Reply:I have set aside one hour, minimum, everyday for this purpose.

All that's on are Raymond repeats, I've finished supper.

You are correct that finding that time will improve your life.

May God Bless.
Reply:I pray the Rosary while walking every day. (or try to)

Keep in Spiritual and physical shape at the same time!

Good Luck!

Peace!
Reply:I've heard the best trick is to make it the first priority. Take care of it in the morning and make it as serious as brushing your teeth!
Reply:I have a daily devotional email list.

Not only helps the list with Bible study, but it forces me to continue to develop new materials.
Reply:don't waste ur time reading and praying.....go out and have fun.......
Reply:Well one thing you want to ask yourself is why are you studying? Also you might want to try and understand what a bible study is for? I know the usual answer that religon and denominations give yet what is your reason.

The one example someone gave me is a marriage. When a marriage first starts out the couple want to talk to each other well after a time they have to talk to each other. when you want to do something thats freedom when you have to do something thats bondage, so do you wnat to read the bible or do you have to?
