Christian Bible Scholars..what are some quality study books that will help enhance my Bible study?

I'm looking to purchase some books that will help enhance my Bible study. Could you recommend some? I have a Strongs Concordance, Vines, Zondervan's Handbook to the Bible and an Unger's Bible dictionary.

As far as I am concerned you have all you need right there. I really suggest that you just study the Bible rather than books about the Bible. The only one you might add would be a book on cross references. Take the Bible and using the Holy Spirit ask God for wisdom and dig in. Try and forget whatever you have been taught about a scripture before you begin and seek to study it without and bias. The only reason I ever use any type of commentary would be to check something after I have studied it to make sure I am not way out to lunch. But to put preconceived notions ino your head before you study something tends to lead more astray than to the point.

Also If you could find an Expositor's Dictionary of Texts, that helps. Mine was edited by Sir W. Robertson Nicoll, M.A., LL.D. and Jane T Stoddart

I actually studied theology at Lee University for four years. I have found that the best bible "help-mate" are the "New International Commentaries" The only draw back is that the entire set is rather expensive....but if you are serious about a thorough study of all the books of the bible, you cannot find anything better.





Just go to Amazon or Ebay and do a search for them....I gurantee that you will not be disappointed.
