Bible study books for teens?

I'm starting a Bible study for some of the girls in my grade in High school and I was wondering if there were any recommendations for books to lead the study? We were thinking about either having one that either focuses on one books of the Bible or get one that focuses on relating a teen issue (stress etc) to the Bible. Any suggestions?

There's a Youth Bible available to most young people; you may even be able to receive a set through your church. It offers the traditional scripture, as well as the meaning, and real-life exampes.
Reply:ok, serious question.

if you want to study the bible. ....

why not just get a bible....

and study it.

if you want a teen support/discussion group, why not just HAVE that, instead of calling it a bible study?

oh, and please please start at genesis, if your actually going to study the bible, don't start with the NT.

edit: also, the bible itself isn't half as unintelligible as some people make it out to be. what it means should stand on its own, and you shouldn't need some supplemental text to tell you how to understand it.

edit2: at least for my part of it I do not mean to be harsh. in fact it is in respect for your intelligence that I say what I do. you don't need some "study guide" to tell you what it means. and it will serve both purposes in question better to keep them separate instead of trying to smush it all together.

Either one of these would be a great start. You can obtain these by visiting http://www.watchtower.org/e/publications...

Reply:How about the Bible? Why is it that people think the Bible is somehow inferior to supplemental readings?
